Looking for Alska

Okay, because I re-read this book, I feel the need to re-write my thoughts about it. I don’t know what’s better, reading a book for the first time or reading it for the 2nd time. Reading it for the first time makes it a whole new adventure and the feeling of thrill and excitement is there and I believe that reading this book without knowing what to expect is so much better because you feel all these sudden emotions. Shock, grief, anger, confusion all together and it can be overwhelming but it feels great to read something like that. Something that surprises you, unpredictable, like life. And reading it for the second time makes you pay more attention to things that you didn’t notice before. Just like observing Alaska’s behavior “before”. It’s like you’re making your own investigation. I’ve had all these feelings that I can’t seem to verbalize and this book just lays it all down. (John Green is my hero.) The deep thoughts are like a wake up call. Like, everything affects everything. Okay, I stole that from another book (13 reasons why). But my point is that, IT.WILL.MAKE.YOU.SEE.

death, life, the labyrinth, your beliefs,The Great Perhaps and things in between.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

The Fault in Our Stars

wow. I don't know how to start but wow. this book is just AMAZING! AMAZING for me. It made me sob like a little girl. I keep on explaining to my cousins how good this book is and i start blabbering about the universe and how lucky we are and how oblivion really is a scary thing and they just looked at me with blank expressions. And when I told them about Hazel and Gus having cancer they're like "Oh like Nicholas Sparks' novels" And I wanted to explode, because it's not like those (I mean, I don't hate novels by Nicholas Sparks. I think they're great.) But this is so much more than a love story. I think that this is the only book that actually gets me. It's the only thing that gets me. If that's even possible and I know that that sounds weird but it's the only way that i can describe it. I can relate to it so much even though I'm not suffering through cancer. John Green is a genius. And i hate people who read it and are like "it's not that great". I know, respect each others opinion. but I really can't imagine why a person would dislike this book.

City Of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare

Where the hell should I begin? I'm sorry if this ends up as just another review full of ramblings because I'm in a tornado of emotions right now. After I bought the book I didn't finish it right away... just the thought that hanging off a cliff for 2 years of waiting for City of Heavenly Fire scares me. But of course my curiosity won over me and then...

MALEC...

Jace "returning" temporarily...

No Jimon...

That's the thing that bothered me a little. Not having Jace, the REAL Jace. And I really hate Cassandra Clare sometimes (not really) for making me feel so much emotion for these characters that  I have come to love so much. Nevertheless, the book was great. Definitely better that City Of Fallen Angels. And I salute to you Cassie Clare for creating such an AMAZING world. it's just so...

INSURGENT

This book is the kind of book that’ll leave you hanging. I think that it is GREAT!!! At first I was kinda bored coz i read Divergent last year so I kind of forgot a few stuff so I decided to reread Divergent which turns out to be the right decision since I was so eager to read Insurgent after reliving the things that happened in the first book. Right in the middle you will not have a chance to be bored because everything is happening so fast and then you’re like “wait, what?…. you mean… OH GOD…. WHAT?!… JESUS CHRIST!…. But that can’t be…” and right at the end when you’re so mind blown about everything that just happened and about to happen… another thing comes up and you just feel like they’re all grenades of information going off one by one, louder than the other.

I hate you Veronica Roth for doing this to me but still….

So in Divergent we’re like “This can’t be right, are there missing pages?”

Here I was like

“Oh no, I feel like this is going to have a cliff-hanging ending again!!

DON’T END PLEASE!

DON’T END !!!!!!!!!”

and then BANG!

You're DEAD.
